Beppi uses a clear and attractive drawing style to illustrate the mix of funny, hallucinatory and just plain weird stories that Mary creates. Their trailer trash creation Marilyn Skidrow finds herself in a Marilyn Monroe look a like contest with a wide range of characters of all shapes, sizes and genders. In another story agent Scully finds herself investigating the claims of a woman that she was attacked by a man who possessed a giant, dog-headed penis. In the final story we are treated to a truly gross collection of anecdotes regarding people poohing their pants, all of which are guaranteed to be 100% a grade true.

I really enjoyed this comic, Mary and Beppi manage to deal with some fairly rude subject matter without making the comic seem rude. I think it is because Mary is so matter-of-fact about things and Beppi’s art is such a pleasure to look at that I forgot I was reading about people who where poohing their pants.

In a Word: Outlandish.
