"Thanagarians at the Gate"

Nothing special but nothing bad either, Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century benefits from a few fun moments and excellent artwork.

The story begins with a premonition from Dream Girl. Unfortunately, it's Brainiac Five who listens. Brainiac, the computer-based skeptic, does not believe.

The tale leads the Legion into a trap set by Thanagarian pirates, impressively rendered by Greene, Massengill, Albrecht and Heroic Age. There's also a nod in them to Batman Beyond.

Evidence forces Brainy to reconsider Dream Girl's words and along the way, we get to see a neat redesign of Shrinking Violet. She's also portrayed in a complimentary kickass manner.

J. Torres appears to be building up some dissent in the Legion with regard to Brainiac Five's controlling nature, but I question the need for such an undercurrent.
