When last we left Captain Gravity, Nazi Stormtroopers that seemed to have the same powers as he toyed with him as a cat toys with a mouse. The lion's share of this issue displays the tortuous gravity powered mayhem inflicted on the good Captain-all beautifully illustrated by Sal Velutto, Bob Almond and Mike Garcia, but this is not the only attraction to Captain Gravity.

Writer Joshua Dysart lets the reader into the Captain's thoughts via the narration as the hero's being tortured. Here, we see a greater texture to the friendship between he and Chase, and again there's the hint of perhaps more than friendship at stake.

The way in which the Captain extricates himself from the cat's cradle of gravity centered treachery exhibits some smart sci-fi thinking on the part of Josh Dysart. Very clever, and it just adds to the fun. The second trap displays the same quality of ingenuity.

Fun also derives from a certain real-life lunatic who makes a cameo appearance and the Captain's amusement with the pipe-smoking government agent as well as a heretofore-unknown moment in which he relates the truth of his powers to Ley-the metafictional narrator of the story.

Captain Gravity while soaring seldom drifts and stays focused on a cliffhanger styled serial adventure related in the sophisticated tongue of today.
