James Redington, R.I.P.

By Glenn Carter

We’ll never now see in what direction James Redington would’ve taken this column in. The tragic and shocking reason I am writing this and James is not is that he died last week at the too young age of 28 of heart failure.

I can only assume he would have tackled the subject of indie comics with the enthusiasm and love of someone who was passionately devoted to this scene could only have. Not only a writer of columns on a regular basis for SBC, but also the writer of several well-received indie comics himself, but never made the majors. Well, he may not have made it to be a top comics writer, but he definitely was a top bloke.

He was one of the nicest, most positive people you could ever hope to meet, was liked by everyone who knew him, including me, and he will be badly missed by all.
