Michael Golden Creates Original Cover For Archer & Armstrong: First Impressions

Valiant Entertainment’s next hard cover edition release, Archer & Armstrong: First Impressions, will feature a new dust jacket cover by legendary artist, Michael Golden. Best known as the co-creator of the X-Men character, Rogue, and for his work on the comics Micronauts and The ‘Nam, Golden penciled, inked and colored this new piece which features Archer and Armstrong surrounded by a hit squad sent by arch nemesis, The Sect. “In all the work that I do it’s always interesting working with other people and trying to adapt an art style to the existing look of the property as the original creator intended,” said Golden. “I enjoy the challenge, and this cover was one of those! Great characters, great assignment!”

The Archer & Armstrong: First Impressions hardcover edition features digitally recolored versions of issues #0-6 of the original blockbuster series co-created by Jim Shooter and Barry Windsor-Smith that sold over 4 million comic books. As well, Archer & Armstrong: First Impressions features the brand new story, “The Formation of The Sect,” by Jim Shooter and artists Sal Velluto and Bob Almond created exclusively for this edition.
