Cassie Hack and her monstrous partner Vlad have managed to escape and destroy every slasher they've ever faced, hunting them down before they can leave a trail of blood and terror. Now the blood and terror comes to the stage, courtesy of New Millennium Theatre Company (NMTC) in Chicago, in a groundbreaking new play, HACK/SLASH: STAGEFRIGHT. Production will begin soon on the adaptation of Tim Seeley's and Stefano Caselli's murderous twosome; dates of the show's run have not yet been scheduled.

"We've seen what New Millennium has done with other pop-culture works, adapting them to the stage," said DDP President Josh Blaylock, "And we couldn't be happier they've decided to take a swing at Hack/Slash." Said co-creator Tim Seeley, "When we talked to New Millennium, we just knew we had to let them do this. It's going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see Cassie and Vlad up there battling it out on stage against the slashers!"

In the meantime, fans can get a sneak peek by attending NMTC's POP-CULTUREFEST 05 on May 11, 2005, a unique, one-of-a-kind experience for comic book fans and pop-culture enthusiasts alike. At the event, the cast of HACK/SLASH: STAGEFRIGHT will make an appearance as well as Josh Blaylock (DDP President, G.I. JOE, AFTERMATH), Tim Seeley (G.I. JOE, Hack/Slash), Skottie Young (HUMAN TORCH/VENOM), Mike Norton (GRAVITY, QUEEN & COUNTRY, NIGHTCLUB), and others. The special event will be held at T's Restaurant and Bar, 5025 N. Clark Street in Chicago. Admission is $5.

The acclaimed Hack/Slash series has showcased the exploits of Cassie Hack and Vlad in the one-shots "Euthanized", "Girls Gone Dead", and "Comic Book Carnage", each available from comic book shops everywhere.
