Fans are invited to come out and help cartoonist Robert Ullman celebrate the release of Lunch-Hour Comix, his new book from Alternative Comics. Robert Ullman will be hosting not one, but two release parties in two states (Richmond, Virginia and Greensboro, North Carolina) the first weekend of December, just to make sure everybody can get in on the action.
Robert Ullman will be signing copies of all of his books, including Lunch-Hour Comix, Cheese, Grand Gestures and Atom-Bomb Bikini, and drinking and chatting with the crowd. Also, both nights will include music performances by Greensboro’s own Citified, featuring members of Lookwell – great music, great drinks, great comics – what more could you ask for?
The Wheres and Whens:
Admission to all events is FREE.
Richmond: Friday, December 3 at Hyperlink Cafe at 814 W. Grace Street, from 7-10 pm. Also, original Lunch Hour Comix artwork will be on display in a gallery show next door at Velocity Comics, also from 7-10 pm.
Greensboro: Saturday, December 4 at the Green Bean Coffee House at 341 S. Elm Street, from 8-11 pm.
About Lunch Hour Comix:
The adventures of real life in one hour a day. Cartoonist Robert Ullman (From The Curve, Grand Gestures) has turned the “24-Hour Comic” concept on its ear, producing a daily “journal comic” with a stringent limit of one hour per strip – the lunch hour, to be specific! Now, the best of nearly a year’s worth of strips have been collected in Lunch Hour Comix! Sometimes poignant, often silly, and always wry and engaging, Lunch Hour Comix is the art form at its most immediate and unfiltered!
Lunch Hour Comix by Robert Ullman. For Mature Readers; $4.95; 64pgs; 6” x 4.5”; B&W; ISBN: 1-891867-86-5; DCD#: OCT04 2322.
