IDW Publishing Presents Dystopian View of London with Smoke
De Campi Writes. Kordey Draws. London Burns.
If you combine black-ops soldiers, corpulent terrorists, upwardly mobile prostitutes, plastic surgery addicts, a musical-loving cyborg assassin, and a deviant British monarch, what do you get? You get Smoke, a three-issue miniseries coming from IDW Publishing in 2005.

Smoke, the opening act of which will be told in three monthly 48-page installments, features extraordinary art by Igor Kordey (X-Men). In Smoke, written by Alex de Campi, Kordey is given a tale that plays to his many strengths as he presents a detailed view of a London run by a morally and financially bankrupt government.
Smoke is the story of a black ops soldier, Rupert Cain, searching for the truth behind his commanding officer’s murder. Along the way, he uncovers a chain of lies and manipulation that reaches deep down into his own past, and all the way up to the most powerful people in the country. Smoke is a violent, blackly comic thriller about how wanting to do the right thing can make everything go wrong…
Smoke will be published as three monthly, full-color, 48-page issues starting in May 2005.
