Sneak Peek Of Sexy Spy Series In All Of CG's January 2004 Titles!

The "Top Secret" 1st issue has been exposed: the advance reviews are in, and KISS KISS BANG BANG #1 has critics smiling. And so will readers once they read the free preview in all of CrossGen's January 2004 titles!

Comics Buyer's Guide's panel of reviewers gave the debut issue of the sexy spy series -- by writer Tony Bedard (NEGATION, ROUTE 666), penciler Mike Perkins (RUSE), inker Andrew Hennessy and colorist Laura Villari -- a big "thumbs up" in the "Comics In Your Future" section of CBG #1568.

"CrossGen delivers a book that fires on all cylinders! Perkins' art is fantastic, and Bedard introduces an exciting cast and a dynamic story that hits the ground running at full speed. The tagline is true: (Charles) Basildon is truly the spy you'll love to hate. Grade: A+" -Robert Scott

"First kung fu, then martial arts, now spies -- here's another fine addition to the new, non-Sigil CrossGen line." -S.A. Bennett

"CrossGen continues the process of reinventing itself with this series...a breath of fresh air for the current comic book world. There is a noted dearth of comic books that even attempt to be humorous; this one succeeds well." -Jeremy Shorr

"Another CrossGen hit...with tight cinematic storytelling at a breakneck pace." -Charlie Harris.

Comics Buyer's Guide isn't alone in their praise of the over-the-top espionage romp. The staff of Wizard named KISS KISS BANG BANG a "Book To Watch" in their 2004 Preview. Meanwhile, BrokenFrontier.com posted a sneak peek of the first issue, with reviewer Mike Bullock cheering: "I've run out of unused words to describe just how good Tony Bedard's writing is...(while) Mike Perkins delivers in every respect...go get this book!"

Readers ready to jet off to exotic locales filled with seductive surprises can check out a free, seven-page full color preview in the back of the following titles: BRATH #11, CRUX #33, LADY DEATH #10, NEGATION #26, ROUTE 666 #19, SCION #42, SOJOURN #31 and WAY OF THE RAT #21.

KISS KISS BANG BANG #1 (NOV032181) rockets into stores on January 14th, while KISS KISS BANG BANG #2 (DEC032300) follows on February 18th.

Readers, don't miss out on the action: make sure your local comic book retailer reserves you a copy of KISS KISS BANG BANG #1!
